Come learn west coast swing (WCS)! It's a popular style of partner dancing that's easy to pick up and can be danced to all of your favorite music, and we'll be grooving to two special live acoustic sets by Somerville musician Josh Witt. We'll teach you the basic moves, how to improvise with a partner, and then set you loose to social dance to live music with all of your new friends. The best part? No small talk required.


What do need:

✅ A love of dance & live acoustic jams

✅ Willingness to try something new

✅ Clean shoes that stay on your feet (bring your dancing shoes in your bag, especially if it's raining- any comfy shoe you have in your closet will work just fine)


What you don't need:

❌ A dance partner

❌ Previous dance experience

❌ Sense of rhythm

❌ Athletic abilities
