Mayflower Brewing Company was founded in 2007 by a tenth great grandson of John Alden. Alden held the Mayflower’s most important job – building and tending the wooden barrels which carried their most precious cargo, thousands of gallons of beer. Upon arriving in Plymouth, they sought out land to use for brewing. Luckily, the plantation they chose had a “very sweet brook” and “many delicate springs of as good water as may be drunk.” It was this water that gave their beer it’s unique character, and the same water used to brew their family of Mayflower ales today. In this tasting, discover the history behind colonial brewing and how the methods of the past informed the present. Through their beer, you’ll get a taste of history that can’t be duplicated anywhere else, and one you won’t forget.
Join us for a guided tasting of 5 of their best craft beers, with delicous bar bites to match!
Come at 6:00pm to find a seat and mingle. Guided tasting starts at 6:30pm.
