Each piece of art in this exhibit represent the artist’s capture at a particular moment in life; whether a photograph, painting, or a weaving piece. These artistic expressions convey a feeling of joy after one year unable to come together as a group.
To complement Artist Marilyn Jan Casey’s (Modern Spiritual Expressions) colorful and vibrant paintings on exhibit at the PHBL since 2020, Mission Hill Artist Collective has invited a group of Mission Hill artists to share their recent work. Our beloved friend Marilyn Jan Casey passed away on June 4, 2021. She never stopped making art during her time on earth. She was an inspiration to all of us.
Artists are: Nancy Ahmadifar, Morth Ahmadifar, Lydia Polanco, Jen Lewis, Kay Mathew, Mary Allendorf-Burns, David Mynott II, Marilyn Jan Casey, Luanne Witkowski, and Menaka Ravikurnar.
Exhibit opens as of August 3, 2021 and will run until 2022.
Library visit hours; Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday 10am-5:30pm; Thursday 12-4:00pm; Friday 9am-4:30pm. Parker Hill Branch Library phone 617-427-3820.
