Join Musicians of the Old Post Road for their first online concert since the outset of the pandemic. Artistic Directors Suzanne Stumpf and Daniel Ryan perform J. S. Bach’s only surviving sonatas for flute and obbligato harpsichord: the Sonata in A Major, BWV 1032, and Sonata B Minor, BWV 1030. In these masterful works, Bach’s ingenious counterpoint, characterful melodies, and dramatic harmonies take listeners on an emotional journey ranging from joyful elation to profound and poignant contemplation.
