We’re partnering with Fresh Start Food Gardens to grow a garden of food in Discovery Woods and we need your help! Learn from Fresh Start’s expert gardeners about planting seeds and what they need to grow, and help plant our two raised beds with familiar crops, like potatoes, and some crops that might surprise you, like dandelions! Learn about what makes a seed, water some seedlings, or just do some good old digging in the dirt. Drop in to help us create our very first Discovery Woods food garden!

Fresh Start Food Gardens connects kids and adults with the benefits of gardening in schools, companies, and at home. Learn more at http://www.freshstartfoodgardens.com/. (Inclement weather may change or cancel this program). Sponsored by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts.

Enjoy this program and more at the all-NEW Discovery Museum! In our new, 16,000sf building we’ve re-created the best hands-on STEAM exhibits from our original two museums—for little kids, big kids, and their grownups—and added many exciting new ones, including water, air, making/tinkering, and more! Come play!
