Entrepreneur Katharine Gibbs built her world-famous school before women’s suffrage and made Gibbs the most famous school of its kind in the world from 1911 to 2011.
Join a tour of the excellent sites of Gibbs in Back Bay from 1917 to 2011. Whether you are a graduate, a history buff, or someone who has heard about Gibbs for years and wants to know more, here is a great treat!
Before or after the tour, join the exciting, free events at the Boston Book Festival in Copley Square.
Please call (781-449-3175) or write ([email protected]) to say you will be present. We will meet at the right-hand statue outside the Boston Public Library, Dartmouth Street, Copley Square. Before the tour I will send an illustrated list of the places we will visit.
Led by Rose A. Doherty, author of Katharine Gibbs: Beyond White Gloves, the first book about Gibbs history.
