About the Concert

Each December, A Boston Christmas brings warmth, reflection, and a strong sense of community to the heart of the season. Presented in the soaring sanctuary of Old South Church, this beloved tradition features the Chorale joined by organ, brass, and percussion for an evening of festive music and communal song.

This year’s program features Ralph Vaughan Williams’ Fantasia on Christmas Carols, an enchanting work that weaves English folk melodies into a rich and evocative soundscape. Alongside this, the Chorale will lead audience carol singing, inviting all in attendance to raise their voices in beloved seasonal hymns. With over 100 voices and a setting aglow with musical and spiritual warmth, A Boston Christmas continues to be a joyful and meaningful tradition for families and music lovers throughout Greater Boston.
