Join us for beautiful music in a Vespers Service featuring Johann Sebastian Bach’s Cantata BWV 82, “Ich habe genug”, along with prayers, scripture reading, and congregational hymns. Bach composed hundreds of sacred cantatas for weekly worship, and Cantata 82 is one of the most well-known of all. Performing the cantata, under the direction of Dr. William D. Cooper, Director of Music, will be Dylan Evans (baritone), Gaia Saetermoe-Howard (oboe), Renee Hemsing and Emily Irons (violins), Anne Black (viola), Jacques Lee Wood (cello), and Will Cooper (organ, conductor) playing the Noack organ in the superb acoustics of Wallace Chapel. Dr. Cooper will also perform Johann Sebastian Bach’s Prelude and Fugue in C Major (BWV 545). Rev. Jonathan Page will give the sermon.
Ample parking is adjacent to the church. There will be a free-will offering.
