Between a lower cost of living and a rich sense of community, communal living is paving the way for a return to human nature. But what is it really, and how can people find it? In this fabulous one-hour event, local author Bailey Merlin will speak about her experience finding communal living in Roxbury before reading from the heartwarming and hilarious novel it inspired, A Lot of People Live in This House.

About the Author:
Bailey Merlin is the author of A Lot of People Live in This House. She holds an MFA from Butler University and an MS from Harvard Medical School. Her writing has been published in literary magazines such as The Lascaux Review, Anti-Heroin Chic, Chantwood Magazine, Dime Show Review, Streetlight Magazine, Into the Void, among others. In addition to her writing, Bailey has co-performed a spoken word short story album, Bug Eyes, with award-winning jazz guitarist Richie Smith. She is also the librettist of the opera ¡Dime! An Opera in Four Acts. Based in Boston, Bailey lives in a communal living household in Roxbury, MA, with a dynamic cast of humans, a toddler, a dog, a cat, and a friendly ghost.
