Come learn about how astronomers are using our Galaxy, the Milky Way, as a laboratory for dark matter and how they are building an instrument to observe the invisible! The speakers are Abby White (Harvard) and Vedant Chandra (Harvard & MIT), members of the Via project which is developing new spectroscopic instruments and astronomical surveys of the Milky Way to answer fundamental questions of the Universe. As usual, we will end our event with space-themed trivia and fun prizes!


Please note that Aeronaut is a 21+ venue and requires valid government-issued ID. Minors may attend only if accompanied by a 21+ parent or guardian. Otherwise, we welcome everyone to attend! Our event is FREE, first come first serve, with no RSVP required.


Astronomy on Tap Boston is an outreach initiative to bring space-themed talks from local astronomers to the general public, organized by graduate students at Harvard, MIT, BU, and other local universities.
