Aston Magna, led by Artistic Director Daniel Stepner, closes its 53rd season — "A Grand Tour" — with music of Monteverdi, Salamone Rossi, and Barbara Strozzi, performed on period instruments. Sophie Michaux, mezzo-soprano; Catherine Liddell, theorbo; Laura Jeppesen, viola da gamba; Daniel Stepner and Julie Leven, baroque violins. NOTE: this concert is at The Allen Center, 35 Webster Street, West Newton. Tickets $50 advance / $60 day-of; under 30s $15 (with ID); full-time students (with ID) and children free.
