Join us on Saturday, October 19 at 2 PM for an Artist Demonstration with Daniel Whiteknact to accompany our New Members group exhibition "New Ways of Seeing". During this 2 hour live painting demo, Daniel will recreate one of his landscape paintings while discussing how he sets up his palette, paint selection, brushes and how he goes about starting a picture when out in the field.
Please register to reserve a seat.
About the Exhibition:
The Guild of Boston Artists is proud to present "New Ways of Seeing," an exhibition to welcome three newly elected artist members, from October 5 - 26th at our Newbury Street gallery. The Guild's motto reads "Art Emulates Nature." Each artist member of the Guild upholds this guiding principle by working directly from life to capture the visual truth and beauty to be found all around us. By infusing their own sophisticated observations with rare artistry and painterly sensitivity, our three newest members are exemplars of Guild mastery. From Todd M. Casey’s vibrant and evocative still-lifes, to Frank Strazulla Jr.’s poetic and tranquil landscapes, to Daniel Whiteknact’s traditionally-inspired and atmospheric tableaus, this exhibition is sure to delight audiences and introduce them to new ways of seeing.
