The Art&Tech // Show&Tell series at CCTV brings in local artists to talk about the new and interesting things that they are creating with old and new media.
This will be the second FREE! Art&Tech // Show&Tell Talk and will feature local artists Allison Maria Rodriguez and Catherine Siller, who will be discussing their work in the content of Video Projection & Performance.
A little bit about the artists:
Allison Maria Rodriguez uses video to create immersive spaces that move beyond language in order to open up the possibility of living differently in the world. Her work focuses on climate change, species extinction, and our connection to nature.
Catherine Siller uses video as a tool to immerse herself into a variety of projections. From projected images and text, projected identities, and projected cultural ideals –
Siller’s video performances investigate how the female body is silenced and how it speaks.
Come see both of these impressive artists speak on Thursday, May 10th, from 6-8pm.
The talks are free, but enrollment is required. Call us at 617-661-6900 or email Keaton at [email protected]
