Art&Tech // Show&Tell : Video Art & Digital Storytelling

The Art&Tech // Show&Tell series at CCTV brings in local artists to talk about the new and interesting things that they are creating with old and new media.

This will be the third FREE! Art&Tech // Show&Tell Talk and will feature local artists Lani Asuncion and Siobhan Landry, who will be discussing their work in the content of Video Art & Digital Storytelling.

A little bit about the artists:

Lani Asuncion uses her body and her camera to navigate landscapes and recall person stories that transform into abstract narratives that are used to explore her identity as a multicultural, biracial American woman. Through new media, she communicates with a digital language that transcends race and class enabling the creation of a new mix of a place, memory, and a reconstructed past.

Siobhan Landry works in photography, animation, and film. The awkward, the painful, and the macabre suffuse her work, and humor is employed to create a sense of irreverence, compassion, and possibility.

Come see both of these impressive artists speak on Wednesday, June 6th, from 6-8pm.
