The Parish Center for the Arts is pleased to announce the opening of Still Places, a solo exhibition of oil paintings by Michelle McElroy, on Sunday, February 3 from 1:00 p.m.- 4:00 p.m.
Still Places will feature a selection of quiet scenes from current and past memories of the artist. While these scenes are from personal moments, they evoke similar memories common to many people and create a connection with the artwork that viewers can share.
Light and shadows in a moment of stillness can create a mood that makes the viewer stop and see that a closed store at night or a box of Cheez-it’s on the kitchen counter can actually create thoughts and feelings that would not come from the same scenes with activity in them.
The exhibit runs from February 3 through February 24. Regular gallery hours are Sundays in February from 12:00 p.m. - 2 p.m. and by appointment. Call the PCA at 978-692-6333; e-mail at PCA@Westford.org
, visit the PCA online at www.Westford.org/PCA
The PCA is handicap accessible.
