ART. LIFE.


The UMass Boston Orchestra in concert, conducted by Sommer Forrester, PhD.


Sometimes art reflects life, sometimes life mimics art. Sometimes, both happen at the same time. UMass’s orchestra—comprised of students, faculty, staff, and members of the greater Boston community—perform works inspired by plays and poems about love, life, and relationships.


Works include:


Tchaikovsky - Romeo & Juliet - Fantasy Overture
Korngold - Much Ado About Nothing
Elgar - Nimrod from “Enigma Variations”


Tickets are $5 for students and alumni, $10 for the general public, with funds supporting The UMass Boston Orchestra and Music at UMass Boston.
