The MFA’s Musical Instrument Collection was founded in 1917—celebrate this centennial milestone in an evening of special drop-in musical performances all over the Museum! Hear music throughout the galleries, from fanfares played on 19th-century trumpets on the Grand Staircase to a strolling accordionist, all played on musical instruments from the collection. Most performances take place in galleries relating to the instruments. Discover the joy and beauty of music at the MFA’s Art in Tune.
