Take a fun, accessible, intensive crash course in Argentine Tango! Try our 3 Hour Intensive: a Crash Course in the basics. No dance experience or partner required!
The underworld of authentic Argentine Tango is a fascinating place... you dance with friends and strangers for hours, knowing only the magic of improvisation and mutual dance dialogue. To accomplish this, each partner learns a language that is universal, but combines infinitely, and communicates clearly. We will learn the basic elements, practice drills, and work on movement quality as well as partner connection. The musical structures of Argentine Tango will be introduced. We prepare you for your Tango future where the Tango dancer elaborates their own construction of the dance and followers participate with their special musical energy and influence. The dance communicates sensuality, emotion, and power. Argentine Tango celebrates connection.
We rotate partners to develop the strongest lead/follow improvisational skills. You can dance Tango in venues across the city and world-wide. Join us in exploring the magic that is Argentine Tango.
Schedule: Session 1: Saturday, January 19th, 2019, 2-3:20 pm
Break of 10 minutes
Session 2: 3:30-4:30 pm
4:30-5 pm: Optional Guided Practice/Coaching Session
Location: 450 Harrison Ave, #405A, Boston.
REGISTRATION and PRICING: $40 with pre-registration one week in advance
