We are proud to present our apple crop to you this 2025 season.
Known for our minimally sprayed apples, we’re especially proud this year—thanks to a drought, our last spray was on July 4, resulting in some of the cleanest pick-your-own apples available. While our apples aren’t flawless (and we don’t aim for perfection, as nature isn’t perfect), this year’s crop is remarkably close. As Farmer Nick often says, “It’s better to enjoy nature than chemicals,” reflecting our embrace of natural imperfections.
As many people know, apples are among the most heavily sprayed crops. With more individuals discovering sensitivities or allergic reactions—such as itchy mouths—to certain pesticides used by some orchards, we’re proud to say that this is not an issue with our apples.
Our orchard is planted with alternating apple varieties, unmarked for a natural picking experience.
Since our apple trees ripen at varying times it is essential to know how to pick a ripe apple. If you twist then pull, a ripe apple will easily come off the branch. An apple that is not ripe will not easily come off the tree and you may damage the tree if you try.
Your apple picking experience at our orchard will be a fun and unique adventure. If you’re looking for a large, commercial-style orchard with long rows of a single apple varieties, this might not be the place for you. If you appreciate apples grown with fewer chemicals, you’ll enjoy the fresh taste of our healthier, naturally grown fruit.
We hope you’ll give our family orchard a try — we think you’ll taste the difference!
