Clown Town is a traditional carnival located at the park in downtown Andover on the corner of Bartlet and Chestnut Streets. Hours are Friday, May 16th from 6 to 10 pm, Saturday, May 17th from 10 am to 8 pm, and Sunday, May 18th from 10 am to 4 pm. There is a sensory friendly hour from 10–11am on Sunday, May 18th. Once again, we will have a great line up of favorite rides (Ferris Wheel, Cliffhanger & Hyperspin, to mention a few) local entertainment, and fun. Visit www.andona.org for more information.
Friday features Fiesta Shows carnival rides, games & food, an AHS Jazz Band performance at 6pm and DJ Jacob Gordon from 7– 9 pm. People of all ages are welcome, but this is a popular night for tweens and teens to have some good old-fashioned fun. Adults can enjoy the Oak & Iron Beer Garden, from 5-7:30 pm. This dedicated space offers adults the opportunity to enjoy a beer while still taking part in the fun of this family-friendly event.
Saturday and Sunday we continue with Fiesta carnival rides, games & food with fun for the whole family. Plan to make a full day of Clown Town or stop in between games and other Spring activities.
With help from student volunteers, on Saturday from 10 am-4 pm the booths in the park will be in full swing featuring face painting, sand art, Andona sponsored kiddie game area, Wacky Candy Shack, and Andona food tent with refreshments from Ultimate Perk and 34 Park. The Oak & Iron Beer Garden will be open from 12-7:30 pm and The Real School of Music will host a stage featuring live music from local talent from 4-8 pm.
Please stop by wonderful sponsor booths. Andover Rotary Club is our Grandstand sponsor and Pfizer and Robert Jason Salon are Big-Top sponsors. Little ones (and their adults) are encouraged to complete the coloring sheet scavenger hunt tradition. Once visiting 16 sponsor booths, stop by our Andona information table for a fun prize. The coloring sheet can be found at www.andona.org.
On Sunday, there is a sensory friendly hour from 10-11 am with priority ride line, minimal music and additional accommodations. Fiesta Shows carnival rides; games & food are available until 4 pm.
Andona is an all-volunteer, women-run, nonprofit organization that provides much needed funding to a variety of programs that benefit Andover Youth. Andona strives to keep the FUN in fundraising. Considering joining Andona today.
