Artistic Director Matthew Guard guides audiences through the stories behind the ensemble’s most beloved performances, narrating the significance of each selection. From cornerstone choral works that established Skylark’s signature sound to stunning solo showcases across a staggering array of genres, this program offers a curated sampling of the group’s diverse repertoire across centuries of music.
Audiences will hear pieces that have resonated deeply with listeners worldwide—works that highlight the ensemble’s precision, emotional depth, and stylistic range. This unique program provides both newcomers and longtime followers an opportunity to experience Skylark’s musical highlights while gaining insight into the artistic choices and memorable moments that have shaped their distinctive musical identity.
There will be a pre-concert talk 45 minutes prior to the concert.
