– The Northeast Massachusetts Youth Orchestras present their Afternoon of Spring Concerts on Sunday, May 21, 2023 at the Dolan Performing Arts Center, 130 High Street, in Ipswich, MA. There will be two performances; a concert at 2:00 pm and a second concert at 4:00 pm. The concerts are free and no tickets are required.


The 2:00 pm concert includes NMYO’s Prelude and Overture String Ensembles and the Intermezzo Orchestra featuring works by Gustav Mahler, Georges Bizet, Reynard Burns, and others.


The 4:00 pm concert features NMYO’s advanced ensembles that are the Wind Ensemble, Select Flute Choir, and Symphony Orchestra. The program is a mix of classical and contemporary music with compositions by Frank Ticheli, Otto Nicolai, Johann Strauss, and more.


Sponsored in part by the Ipswich Cultural Council, NMYO concerts are a great way to experience orchestral music while supporting the musical training of the area’s finest young musicians.
