With a powerful voice of truth and beauty, “Amythyst Kiah is one of roots music’s most exciting emerging talents," according to Rolling Stone. Her deeply moving, hypnotic sound finds inspiration in old-time music, alternative rock, gospel, folk, country, and blues. A member of Our Native Daughters with Rhiannon Giddens, Leyla McCalla, and Allison Russell, Amythyst Kiah wrote that group’s hit song “Black Myself,” which was nominated for a Grammy for Best American Roots Song and won the 2019 Song of the Year at the Folk Alliance International Conference.
This livestream is free so that people hit hardest by Covid-19 can attend. If you are able to donate, please do so generously. All donations received during the livestream will be split between Amythyst Kiah and Global Arts Live.
