Julia’s work has been featured in exhibitions at MassArt as well as at Panopticon Gallery in Boston, MA. She makes photographs that deal with control, performance, voyeurism, and power in order to consider how it feels to be in one’s body. Her three dimensional work is also concerned with the body, employing gravity, weight, and accumulation to manipulate the industrial materials she is attracted to.
Caterina Maina is a photographer and creative entrepreneur who works primarily with a 4x5 Large Format View Camera. Her photographs range from examining the close relationships between her family and friends to exploring the natural world and the connection one has to it through landscape and portraiture work. Caterina has featured her work in local and national galleries, and has won awards and grants for her photographic work.
