About Monogamy? In This Economy?
"Boyle's insight into the lives of cohabitating polyamorous adults is illuminating and inspiring."
-Sarah Stroh, @monogamish_me
More and more queer and not so queer partners are taking the plunge and deciding to live and parent together. But wait - who lives with who? How do you navigate parenting children? How do you set up your home/finances/bathroom?
Laura Boyle - having interviewed over four hundred people living in every polyamorous configuration under the sun - has answers for you. Forget 101s on jealousy and new relationship energy. This wise and pragmatic guide gets into the nitty-gritty of living in polyamorous households long-term.
About the Author and Conversation Partner
Laura Boyle (she/her) is a relationship coach and educator who runs Ready for Polyamory, and an accompanying blog at readyforpolyamory.com. Laura has been an expert voice on the topic of polyamory for the Boston Globe, the Times, and Parenting magazine, and has been poly herself for almost twenty years. Laura is based in New Haven, CT.
By her own admission, Dr. Joli Hamilton made "every mistake possible" when starting her consensual non-monogamy journey. So she studied her way out of it, earning a doctorate in depth psychology, a certification in sexuality education, and became a researcher known for my work on the archetypal experience of jealousy.
