Alegria Ancestral :- Brazilian dance workshop Summer series with ISAURA OLIVEIRA
musicians: Kera Washington, Akili Jamal Haynes, Regina Rae Ell, Mestre Deraldo Ferreira, & guest from Pernambuco, Brasil: Handerson Telha.
ALEGRIA ANCESTRAL: is a Brazilian Dance Workshop led by master dancer Isaura Oliveira.
The warm Up: is a progressive preparation focusing on bring freedom and high energy, stretch and strength, ground and inspiration to your body and mind, guiding you to dive into the learning.
Since 1990's Isaura has included basics of dance tecniques, theater-action games and yoga asanas and fundaments on her warm up class section.
The movements: are from traditional forms to Isaura's and her teachers repertoire.
The movements come from her own African- Ameríndios- Brazilian Cultures, inspired and guided by the drumming rhythms of Kera Washington, Akili Jamal Haynes, Deraldo Ferreira, Handerson Telha and friends
Open to all levels of dance experience.
