Find the shape you imagine and carve it out of alabaster, with its stunning beauty and subtle natural colors. Learn direct carving and 3-dimensional thinking, finding the shape as you carve it. Understand the material using a variety of tools, from basic chisels to how to polish and create final textures. Every day will include class demonstrations, teaching, and discussions about techniques, images and tools. You will leave with a small, finished sculpture.


Each person will build on their individual skills and individual instruction will accommodate all levels of experience.
