Join us for a powerful evening of food, culture, and conversations at Reservoir Church in Cambridge, MA. Hosted by Foodies Without Borders, this special pop-up dinner and lecture series celebrates the richness of African cuisine and the visionary leadership shaping the future of food.


Our featured guest is Chef Njathi Kabui—a globally recognized organic chef, anthropologist (HBCU PhD), urban farmer, and outspoken food justice advocate. Born in rural Kenya to a coffee farmer mother and a restaurateur father—both deeply involved in Kenya’s independence movement—Chef Kabui brings a unique perspective rooted in heritage, activism, and a passion for sustainability. Now based in North Carolina, he speaks around the world on how food can transform lives and communities.


Joining him is host Chef Tony Njigua, founder of Foodies Without Borders, a Boston-based nonprofit empowering underserved youth in the U.S. and Kenya through curated travel, culinary training, and sustainable farming initiatives.


Enjoy a thoughtfully crafted, health-forward Kenyan menu while engaging in dialogue about food sovereignty, cultural identity, and Africa’s global reawakening. Discover how you can be part of meaningful projects across Africa, the Caribbean and beyond.
