Aeronaut Allston: Noise Floor Sessions, Drag Storytime

AERONAUT Allston is back!!!

It's our third season of free, outdoor, family-friendly musical beer gardens at Zone 3's hub of activity, 267 Western Ave in Allston.

The series features live music and performance by emerging local artists, the best local food trucks, and great beer! This year AERONAUT will help Zone 3 open its awesome new outdoor community program and performance space. It's an upgrade from the blacktop parking lot of the past two years – but it still feels like home!

AERONAUT Allston takes place every WEDNESDAY (5-9:30pm) and FRIDAY (5-11pm), June 1 to September 28 at Zone 3 (267 Western Ave).

This season will highlight...
--community collaborations!
--exclusive, only-in-Allston beers!
--a rotating lineup of Boston's top food trucks!
--the best of emerging and established Boston-area performers and bands!

Zone 3 is a Harvard-sparked initiative to further activate and energize Western Ave with creative programs, events, and retail. More info: Zone3WesternAve.com

FEATURED MUSICAL ACTS for WED JUNE 20

Noise Floor Sessions curated by Maxwell Bailey
Noise Floor Sessions (NFS) started in 2015 as a monthly concert series that took place at different venues around Boston. There is a thriving underground music scene in Boston that needs to be heard, so I created NFS to do just that. I organize, host and perform at each event as an opportunity to collaborate with different artists and venues, as well as connect with a new audience in an intimate way.

Caleb Gore (6pm)
Based in New York/Boston, Caleb Gore is a sensational songwriter and vibrant vocalist, mixing popular music styles to create a unique blend of influences from soul, funk, country, rock and hip hop. Caleb Gore’s genre-bending style and heartfelt lyrics give a genuine sense of his authenticity as an artist.

Maxwell Bailey (7pm)
One of AERONAUT's must trusted musical partners, Maxwell is a tireless advocate for Boston's vibrant singer-songwriter scene.

Jakals (8pm)
A Boston-based alternative rock band, Jakals’ visceral, soul-aching vocals and simultaneously melodic and driving instrumentals create a uniquely tempestuous and powerful sound that rips open the confines of contemporary rock music. Jakals are unrestrained, exploring the internal turmoil that results from the harrowing experience of human existence. With dynamic songs as complex as the emotions and personal struggles they grapple with, Jakals have been praised for achieving “a perfect stride between the personal openness of singer/songwriters and the more fully realized trappings of a traditional rock ensemble” (Crossfader Magazine).

Jakals released their debut album in May 2017. On Keep Mother Sane, Jakals question what it means to be sane in a society that doesn't seem to be sane itself. Storytime with Drag Kings, Queens and Friends!
Storytime with Drag Kings, Queens and Friends is a fabulous pop-up story hour featuring a revolving cast of beloved local Boston performers including Just JP, Butch Sassidy, and Claude Kitten!

They will be doing a special storyhour at 5pm for teens (with parent/guardians in tow!) and adults. Come for the storyhour, and stay to talk with performers after at our Community Partner table!
