It's the middle of March – one of our favorite times of year because EVERYBODY'S IRISH! At least honorarily.
To celebrate, we're throwing a TWO-DAY CELEBRATION OF IRISH CULTURE fundraiser for local immigrants with one of our favorite organizations in the Boston area – the Irish International Immigrant Center!
These amazing folks (read more at http://www.iiicenter.org/) work tirelessly on behalf of Boston's immigrant community – right now they are working with hundreds of immigrant and refugee families who are directly impacted by the recent Executive Orders on immigration. The IIIC will be auctioning off awesome raffle items and we want to help raise a bundle of money to support their important work!
But it wouldn't be a real Irish party without LOADS OF CRAIC! Here are a few of the things we'll be bringing in:
✅ live Irish music! We're thrilled to welcome the wild Irish band Sláinte! (Fri night)
✅ live Irish dancers! (Sat afternoon)
✅ singers! our resident ethnomusicologist Jason McCool will perform a set of Irish songs and may be joined by a few special guests!
✅ Irish theatre: a staged reading of Martin McDonagh's dark and hilarious THE LONESOME WEST, featuring some of the Boston area's finest actors! (selected scenes presented Fri night + entire play on Saturday, starting at 4pm!)
✅ the 3rd Annual Boston Irish Poem Day, where YOU might get to read aloud some works by some of the best writers of Irish history plus some poems by contemporary Irish writers!
✅ a sneak preview of trailers from our friends at the Irish Film Festival, Boston, who run at Somerville Theatre March 23-26.
✅ the release of our very first Irish stout: "1916" – created in honor of the brave patriots who sparked the Irish Easter Rising over 100 years ago. We'll properly christen the beer with a dramatic reading of the famous Proclamation of the Irish Republic!

All will be presented in the taproom and it's all FREE. And we promise: NO GREEN BEER.
