Cyanotypes offer a unique blend of art and science by allowing students to explore photographic printing processes without a camera! Join us for exploratory course!
Class Description
Explore the magic of cyanotypes in this hands-on, two-part workshop perfect for beginners and creatives of all kinds! One of the first photographic processes ever developed, cyanotypes (also known as blueprints or sunprints) allow you to create unique prints from natural and/or found objects. Using light-sensitive chemicals, we will use objects like leaves, flowers, lace, jewelry and more! (supplies will be provided, but feel free to bring your own)
Instructor - Eve Sage
Eve is a local Boston photographer and designer who was born and raised in New York, where she fell in love with photography and exploring interesting subjects from behind the camera. While studying at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts at Tufts University, she experimented with alternative photo-printing processes and has been deeply interested in trying new printing methods since. From studying photography in London for 5 months to taking ceramics courses in college, Eve loves learning new art forms and is always looking to find new ways to express herself.
