Bright Half Life follows the decades-spanning journey of lesbian couple Erica and Vicky. They meet, fall in love, marry, have children, and eventually divorce — not necessarily in that order, however, as their relationship unfolds via a nonlinear timeline. This dream logic rules the play — between courtship, marriage, parenthood, loss, and divorce, the characters grapple with intersectionality, legality, identity, and the concept of soulmates.
