GiveBackTime is hosting its first Wine and Spirits Tasting Fundraiser called "A Taste for Giving". GiveBackTime (www.givebacktime.org) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit whose mission is to connect local non-profit organizations with volunteers, to provide a software toolkit to non-profits for event management, volunteer tracking and data gathering and to connect volunteers with volunteer opportunities tailored to their interests. GiveBackTime is dedicated to the belief that each individual can make a difference in their community through volunteerism.
At a Taste or Giving, and for your sampling and sipping pleasure, there will be ten wineries and spirit distillers offering samples of their finest labels. Some of the wineries and spirits distillers include Westport Winery, Champy (Jenny Johnson's wine), Sap House Meadery and AstraLuna Brands.
To enhance the fundraiser there will be a silent auction, many delightful nibbles to nosh on, cash bar and live music provided by the amazingly talented orchestra and band students at Arlington High School.
Through this fun and casual tasting evening, GiveBackTime hopes to raise enough funds to hire a programming staffer to make connections in the community through community events and programs with schools etc. This will deepen GiveBackTime's community based outreach.
