Immerse yourself in a haunted experience as Corsara Artists presents a reimagined production of Menotti's classic opera, The Medium.
Madame Flora, with the help of her daughter Monica and Toby, a mute servant, cons grieving parents into believing that they are communicating with the spirits of their dead children. When she is touched herself by a hand during one of the seances, an occurrence she cannot explain, she is driven to insanity and murder.
Is it all a figment of her imagination, or have the dead answered?
A historic return of Opera...
Built in 1883, Peabody City Hall's Frank L. Wiggin Auditorium was simply known at the time as the "opera house." Placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1972 and after a nearly quarter million-dollar restoration in 2018 to restore the decorative ceiling to it's former glory, as well as installing new sound and video projection systems, Opera returns to this magnificent theater with Corsara Artists' inaugural production of Menotti's "The Medium."
