The Savoyards of Boston are pleased to invite you to a good old-fashioned sing-through of

H.M.S. PINAFORE
Or The Lass Who Loved a Sailor
A casual concert on-book.

Saturday, July 13th, 2019
The New School of Music
25 Lowell St, Cambridge, MA 02138
1:00PM - 4:30PM

What is a “Sing-Through”:
At this fundraiser, everyone is invited to bring their scores or instrumental part of H.M.S. Pinafore and play, follow, or sing along to a concert read-through of the show! The Savoyards of Boston will sell copies of the vocal score for ten dollars a piece (while supplies last) if you do not want to bring your own.

Instrumentalists are encouraged to attend. To play in the orchestra, make sure you contact the orchestra manager after buying your ticket by emailing [email protected].

All proceeds go toward the cost of the space, future sing-throughs and our first fully staged production.

About the Show:
Ralph, a lowly sailor, is in love with his Captain’s daughter, Josephine. All seems hopeless until the arrival of Sir Joseph Porter, K.C.B., who prides himself on his philosophy that “love levels all ranks.” Ralph takes heart, but can his love level all the ranks it needs to? Join us for a classic romantic comedy that features some of Gilbert and Sullivan’s best loved music and characters!

You’ll also get a chance to vote for our next sing-through!

All ticket sales benefit the Savoyards of Boston and push us closer and closer to our first fully-staged production!

How to Decide Which Ticket to Buy:
$15 - Named roles by act - If you’d like to sing a named role for one act of this sing-through, then you can navigate to our Eventbrite page and purchase the corresponding ticket. Want to sing both acts? No problem! Just get both tickets for that role! Roles are “first come, first served,” so if you cannot find a ticket to sing the role you want, it may have already been spoken for. Go ahead and go for your second choice.

$10 - Chorus/orchestra/audience member - Want to play in the orchestra? Just want to listen or sing chorus? Then this is the ticket tier for you! If you cannot afford a $10 ticket, we encourage you to join us anyway!

Plan on arriving to the venue no later than 1:00PM on July 13th. Roles that have not been purchased by the time of the event will be auctioned off to the highest bidder! Contact [email protected] with questions.

Roles Available (First Come, First Served):
This is an equal opportunity sing-through. All roles are available for purchase by anyone who wishes to sing them regardless of gender or fach. The list below includes the fachs as written for each role.
