A Conversation with the Artist 

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 1st - 1:00 - 3:00PM

 

Join us for an afternoon conversation with Boston area artist Joanne Simon, whose new series of monotypes is currently on view at the gallery. An artist who works primarily in monotypes and in series, Joanne is often inspired by world cultures, social and political concerns, and the preservation of our natural habitats. Her current series, Kintsugi: Repaired, Restored, Reborn,  is a symbolic rendition and honoring of the long-held Japanese tradition of kintsugi.  

At this gathering, Ms. Simon will be sharing her particular artistic process and welcoming neighbors, friends, and artists into conversation on the inherent deeper meanings and connections within our current lives relative to the ancient ritual of kintsugi.
