Women in Public Art in Boston Join us for a talk by local educator Mary Smoyer about six women honored with statues in Boston.
About this Event
Mary Howland Smoyer has been an active leader of the Boston Women’s Heritage Trail (BWHT) since it was founded in 1989 to research, document and celebrate Boston women’s history. Mary is a retired Boston Public School teacher and librarian, and a nut about women’s history. Mary will discuss six statues celebrating women in Boston and will be joined by the Cyrus Dallin Art Museum to spotlight the State House's Anne Hutchison statue. Join Mary, the Cyrus Dallin Art Museum, and the Loring-Greenough House as we explore the significant monuments reflecting women’s history in Boston Public Art.
