5th Annual Cape & Islands Bakes for Breast Cancer

Cape & Islands Bakes for Breast Cancer returns for its fifth year! Bakeries, cafés, pastry shops and restaurants throughout the Cape & Islands will participate during this year’s fundraiser from Monday, August 3 through Sunday, August 9, 2020 and will help raise funds and awareness for breast cancer research. Since its inception in 1999, Bakes for Breast Cancer has raised over 2 million dollars for breast cancer research and awareness and hundreds of different bakeries, cafés, pastry shops and restaurants have participated.

Proceeds raised will benefit the nonprofit breast cancer organization Bakes for Breast Cancer which will support the research of Dr. Rachel Freedman. Dr. Freedman’s clinical trials will focus on treatment for older breast cancer patients, an area of research that has been vastly under subsidized. Funds will go to benefit Cape & Islands residents where the rate of breast cancer is 20% higher than the national average.

Returning venues and confirmed locations include Alden Park, Bleu, Cru Oyster Bar, Espresso Love, Five Bays Bistro, Landfall, Maison Villatte, Nantucket Bake Shop, Osteria La Civeta, Osterville Fish, Pain D'Avignon Cafe Boulangerie, Sagamore Inn, The Dunes at The Winnetu Oceanside Resort, and The Terrace at the Charlotte Inn, and more.
