Come join the movement that stopped a highway. The 48th Annual Wake Up The Earth Festival is a celebration of the communities of Roxbury and Jamaica Plain stopping the raised highway from destroying their neighborhoods. The festival hosts over 120 local vendors, artists, and restaurants, 4 stages of all day music and dance performances, public and interactive art, local services, and 2 parades leading up to the festival. It takes place on the southwest corridor, the greenway above the Orange Line Stony Brook stop, a beautiful park given to the community that fought for it. And best of all, it's free, and run by all your community members! Join the parades, join the festival, because we all belong!
