The 48th Annual Playwrights' Platform Festival of New Plays has moved to Zoom!
This year our festival will be presenting one play per night live on Zoom at 7pm on the following nights: June 3-7 and June 10-14.
The 48th Annual Playwrights’ Platform Festival opens Wed, June 3rd at 7pm. We have watched with the rest of the country as POC have struggled for their lives, as George Floyd was murdered on camera, as press coverage of peaceful protests have been largely re-directed to coverage of violence. This year, we are encouraging audience members to consider donating to the following organizations: NAACP Boston Branch, Black Lives Matter Boston, Massachusetts Bail Fund, Black and Pink, and Violence in Boston Inc. It’s our hope that continued support for these organizations, combined with a continuation of the arts, will not only help our nation heal, but will lead us to a better place, where all of our citizens are treated equally, where democracy is truly democracy.
All shows are at 7pm. The line-up for the first week is as follows:
Wed, June 3rd: THE TAMED
By William Ivers
Directed by Haris Lefteri
Thu, June 4th: LIVE FROM COPLEY SQUARE
