The 2018 Short Film Festival celebrates Community Voices!

Some examples of COMMUNITY VOICES are "voices of creativity, voices of change, voices of protest, voices of struggle, voices of happiness, voices of empowerment, voices of hopes and dreams, giving voice to the voiceless, etc." The selection committee plans to screen several short films for the audience to enjoy. ABOUT CINEMA SOMERVILLE:
Cinema Somerville is a project of Somerville Media Center. It builds community in Somerville through collaborations with community organizations and residents by curating and presenting free public film screenings at various locations in Somerville.

ABOUT ARTSUNION:
Now in its 13th year ArtsUnion has been instrumental in reinvigorating the artistic and business landscape of Union Square. ArtsUnion presents numerous events and markets, and leads cultural tours. In addition, ArtsUnion has commissioned temporary art installations, commissioned artisans to fabricate street furniture and has been instrumental in creating zoning incentives for arts-related development in the square. The Somerville Arts Council and the Mayor’s Office of Strategic Planning and Community Development created ArtsUnion, in partnership with numerous other local organizations through funding from the Massachusetts Cultural Council’s John and Abigail Adams Program and the City of Somerville.
