The 37th Annual Mayfair in Harvard Square features music, dancing, food, crafts, street art, and entertainment for all ages.
It's back! After a two-year hiatus, The Harvard Square Business Association is excited to announce the return of the 37th Annual MayFair happening on Sunday, May 15th, from 11am - 6pm.
This annual celebration of Spring will feature four stages of live music featuring an eclectic array of genres including Reggae, Indie, Pop, Americana, R&B, Jazz, Rock, Soul, Folk, Hip Hop and more. We’re delighted to welcome reggae-rock stars, Roots of Creation to the Cisco Brewers Main Stage at 4pm. Recognized as a Top 20 artist on the Relix/Jamband radio chart, a festival staple, and an internationally touring powerhouse, RoC has been awarded “Favorite Jam Band” by Cider Magazine and “Best Band In New Hampshire” by the New England Music Awards. RoC mix their jam-reggae hybrid sound with homegrown roots, guitar-heavy rock, and lead singer/guitarist Brett Wilson’s introspective and conscious laden lyrics.
Within and beyond the festival grounds, Harvard Square’s favorite restaurants have taken to the streets with outdoor dining patios. Deliciousness awaits you, from casual to high-end and everything in between! Order a cocktail or a beer and raise a glass in one of our beer gardens, hosted by Alden & Harlow, Brato and Wusong Road. Shop at over 40 artisan booths, featuring eclectic art, clothing, jewelry and more. Satisfy your hunger at one of our international food vendors – you’ll have many options to choose from. There is no better place to usher in warmer temperatures than Harvard Square’s legendary MayFair!
Denise Jillson, executive director of the Harvard Square Business Association, said, “We are excited to bring back MayFair after a two-year delay. As always, there will be lots of music, artisans, food, vendors, crafts and beer gardens. Similar to Oktoberfest 2021, we're also spotlighting square-wide eateries and retailers. To help support our businesses that have been struggling over the past few years, we are making it easy and fun for folks to seek out old favorites and discover new ones. We will not place vendors in front of existing businesses, giving both greater visibility. We’re enthusiastically encouraging our retailers to open their doors wide, decorate their windows, light up their storefronts and spill out onto the sidewalk!”
