Happy Pride Month! As the City of Boston comes alive for the summer months, tons of fabulous Pride events are on the horizon. Celebrate the LGBTQIA+ community with dance parties, festivals, panel discussions, drag nights, and so much more.

Events are listed chronologically. 

A Queer History Of The Women's Suffrage Movement

When: Wed, 6/1 at 6 p.m.

Where: Virtual

Info: Historian Wendy L. Rouse will re-frame the history of the Women’s Suffrage Movement by telling stories of queer participants in the cause and how their lived experiences were shaped by the social constraints of the time. 

LGBTQ+ Author Panel

When: Wed, 6/1 at 7 p.m.

Where: Virtual

Info: Kick off Pride Month with a virtual author panel including Emery Lee (e/eir), Timothy Janovsky (he/him), Katee Robert (she/her), and Olivia Waite (she/her). The talented crew will discuss their novels and how they represent and connect with the queer community.

Pride Trivia

When: Wed, 6/1 at 7:30 p.m.

Where: Cambridge

Info: Head to the Lamplighter Brewing Co. taproom for a special Pride-themed trivia night. Prizes include gift cards, a four pack of the Pride Month beer (called ‘Somebody to Love), and tickets to a drag event. 50% of proceeds from the evening benefit The Network/La Red, a survivor-led social justice organization supporting LGBTQIA+ victims of abuse. 

Alexa…Kick Off Pride! Variety Show

When: Wed, 6/1 at 8 p.m.

Where: Somerville

Info: In this one variety show you can enjoy music, games, and a live dating show within the performance! There’s never a dull moment in this eclectic and comedic evening featuring some of Boston’s most beloved LGBTQIA+ performers. 

Pride Beer Garden Takeover

When: Thu, 6/2 at 6 p.m. 

Where: Jamaica Plain

Info: Join Sam Adams Brewery for the release of their Love Conquers Ale brew. The party will feature a performance by Queens with a Mission, a raffle for tickets to Fenway Pride Night, and tastings of the new ale. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to Transgender Emergency Fund.

Priscilla, Queen of the Desert

When: Thu, 6/2 at 7:25 p.m.

Where: Watertown

Info: Head to Watertown for a screening of this classic film, wherein two drag queens and a transgender woman are contracted to perform a show in a remote Australian town. As they travel across the desert, hilarity ensues. 

ICA First Fridays: Back with Boudoir

When: Fri, 6/3 at 5 p.m.

Where: Seaport

Info: First Fridays return at the ICA with a raucous dance party celebrating Pride Month. Clink drinks by the ocean, listen to live poetry readings, and dance the night away to music DJ’d by Boston’s queer underground house and techno party Boudoir.

Watertown Pride Extravaganza

When: Sat, 6/4 at 11 a.m.

Where: Watertown

Info: The Watertown Pride festival kicks off with a mini parade that all are welcome to join and then features live music, speakers, a drag king emcee, crafts, dancing, and the gathering of local advocacy organizations for support, questions, and donations. 

Pride Market by BWM x Night Shift Brewing

When: Sat, 6/4 at 11 a.m.

Where: Everett

Info: Shop products and artwork by more than 14 local LGBTQIA+ vendors at this special Boston Women’s Market pop-up at Night Shift Brewing. While you shop, sip on Night Shift’s newest release, Proud, enjoy live music, and snag a bite from the on-site food trucks.

LGBTQ+ Silent Disco Pier Party Pride Party

When: Sat, 6/4 at 7 p.m.

Where: Charlestown

Info: A silent disco party featuring 3 DJs and a drag performance at the open-air beer garden The Anchor in Charlestown Navy Yard. A portion of the door sales with go to Trans Emergency Fund & La Network Red.

Quincy Pride Day Festival

When: Sun, 6/5 at 12 p.m.

Where: Quincy

Info: A full, live band will set the energetic tone for this town-wide Pride festival in Quincy. In addition, attendees can enjoy live drag performances, shop local LGBTQIA+ aligned vendors, and engage in crafts and activities celebrating the day.

PRIDE Drag Night at AERONAUT Somerville

When: Wed, 6/8 at 8 p.m.

Where: Somerville

Info: Local drag Queens Coleslaw and Severity Stone, and Drag King Travis Tí will take the stage at Aeronaut in Somerville for a drag show to end all drag shows. Grab a brew, dress to impress, and celebrate Pride Month with the fabulous energy only these monarchs can bring.

25th Boston Dyke March

When: Fri, 6/10 at 6 p.m.

Where: Boston Common

Info: March in celebration of the LGBTQIA+ community at the 25th Annual Boston Dyke March, an alternative Pride march inclusive to all populations. The march is ASL interpreted, and wheelchair, stroller and scooter accessible and happens rain or shine.

Silent Disco PRIDE PARTY on the Roof!

When: Fri, 6/10 at 6 p.m.

Where: Downtown Boston

Info: The roof deck at the Sam Adams Taproom downtown will be transformed into Pride haven for this Silent Disco party. Music will be streaming on 3 different channels and attendees, headphones on and beer in hand, will dance their hearts out.

PEM PRIDE After-Hours Dance Party

When: Fri, 6/10 at 7 p.m. 

Where: Salem

Info: Bring your boldest fashions to the dance floor at this after-hours Pride party at the Peabody Essex Museum in Salem. Hear a panel conversation about LGBTQIA+ fashion history and then hit the dance floor with your own styles.

Science of Rainbows

When: Sat, 6/11 at 10 a.m. 

Where: Mattapan

Info: The Boston Nature Center is giving a special talk about the science behind rainbows in honor of Pride Month. You’ll learn how rainbows are formed, grow your own rainbows, and go on a color walk through the beautiful Wildlife Sanctuary.

Boston's LGBTQ Past Walking Tour

When: Sat, 6/11 at 11 a.m. & Mon, 6/13 at 6 p.m.

Where: Downtown Boston

Info: Learn how LGBTQIA+ history shaped the City of Boston on this informative walking tour. The tour starts at the Massachusetts State House and winds its way through Downtown Boston dropping interesting stories and fun facts along the way. 

Pride Bar Fest 2022

When: Sat, 6/11 at 11 a.m. 

Where: Fenway

Info: Celebrate Pride Month with the first annual Pride Bar Festival. Enjoy Drag performances, DJs, live music, and queer markets at more than 10 venues around the Fenway neighborhood. Proceeds from the event benefit the Trans Resistance organization.

DRAGtacular Brunch - PRIDE

When: Sat 6/11 at 12 p.m. 

Where: Seaport

Info: Sip your mimosas and chow down on brunch while watching the longstanding drag team at Laugh Boston. The show will be hosted by iconic Boston Drag Queen Kris Knievil and feature Amanda Playwith, Karisma Geneva Jackson-Tae, and Teashaboo.

LGBTQIAP2S+ Afternoon at Boston Nature Center and Wildlife Sanctuary

When: Sat 6/11 at 12 p.m.

Where: Mattapan

Info: This event creates a safe space in nature for the LGBTQIA+ community to gather and connect with each other. Enjoy a guided walk, lawn games, and nature crafts under the warm sunshine. This event is limited to LGBTQIA+ community members.

Info: Celebrate Pride Month at this all-day festival in Union Square featuring a vibrant set list of local bands headlined by Walter Sickert and the Army of Broken Toys, food and art vendors, games, performances, and more. This event is open to all ages.

Big Gay Dance Party

When: Thu, 6/11 at 5:30 p.m.

Where: Union Square

Info: This massive, free outdoor dance party celebrates the queer experience with music by DJ Dee Diggs, drag performances by Just JP and Sham Payne, a photobooth, and on-site ice cream. Bring your best dance moves with you!

"For The Gaawwddzz" Pride Drag Brunch

When: Sun, 6/12 at 10 a.m. 

Where: Downtown Boston

Info: The only thing that can make brunch even better is a performance by drag Queens Lilly Rose Valore, Just JP, and Rusty Hammer. Accented with music by DJ No Jokez, the event celebrates bringing your whole self to the table.

Boston Pop-up Pride

When: Sun, 6/12 at 11 a.m. 

Where: Boston Common

Info: This grassroots, community-organized event features a rally and festival with food, music, and performances. The event is intended to boost community spirit and inclusion as the LGBTQIA+ community builds a new Pride organization.

Jamaica Plain Pride Block Party

When: Sun, 6/12 at 12 p.m.

Where: Jamaica Plain

Info: Dance the day away at this neighborhood block party featuring music by DJ JamilaAfrika, Ray Liriano, and The Lisa Bello Band, live drag performances, a market of local arts vendors, food and more. 

Back Bay Pride Block Party

When: Sun, 6/12 at 2 p.m.

Where: Back Bay

Info: Celebrate Pride at this massive block party in Boston’s Back Bay. Dance to beats from local DJs Wayne Michael & DJ Marco Da Silva, sip drinks at a beer and wine garden, grab a snack at on-site food trucks and watch vibrant performances throughout the night.

Sing We Our Tomorrow: A BCE Pride Concert

When: Sun, 6/12 at 4 p.m.

Where: West Cambridge

Info: This concert by the Boston Choral Ensemble features music by LGBTQIA+ composers such as Mari Esabel Valverde, Michael Bussewitz-Quarm, and Joan Szymko as well as spoken-word poetry and a timeline of queer history in the United States.

Drag Bingo at Time Out Market

When: Sun, 6/12 at 6 p.m.

Where: Fenway

Info: Build your own mule at the Time Out Market bar and then try your luck at bingo hosted by the illustrious drag queen Plane Jane. Expect to enjoy an impromptu drag performance along the way and have the opportunity to win fun prizes.

Donna Summer Disco Party

When: Thu, 6/16 at 6 p.m. 

Where: Back Bay

Info: Don your favorite sequins and prepare to pay dance homage to the disco icon (and Boston native) Donna Summer. In addition to all-night Donna Summer hits spun by DJ Vince 1, expect surprise appearances by members of the Summers family.

Magic Dyke at the Crystal Ballroom 

When: Fri, 6/17 & Sat, 6/18 at 7:30 p.m.

Where: Somerville

Info: There’s nothing quite like this sex-positive performance hosted by Ginny Nightshade and featuring a vast lineup of local drag kings. Part comedy, part self-dubbed smutfest, this is a way to celebrate Pride like no other.

Patty Bourrée’s Last Pride on Earth

When: Fri, 6/17 at 8 p.m.

Where: Watertown

Info: Boston drag and cabaret star Patty Bourrée will hit the stage in a dystopian-themed Pride performance. Follow along with Patty as she and a cast of colorful characters encounter the end of the world, and cope with copious song and dance.

Let’s Say Gay! A Community Pride Event

When: Sat, 6/18 at 12 p.m.

Where: Watertown

Info: LGBTQIA+ leaders from the Mosesian Center for the Arts and the Boston chapter of Drag Queen Story Hour will lead an afternoon of family-oriented activities celebrating Pride Month and promoting inclusivity and creativity.

Pride Bar Crawl

When: Sat, 6/18 at 4 p.m. 

Where: Downtown Boston 

Info: Toast to a happy Pride Month on this Faneuil Hall bar crawl featuring drink specials themed for the holiday. After visiting a series of bars in the crawl, dance the night away at the after party. A portion of the proceeds from the crawl will go towards The Trevor Project. 

Embracing LGBTQ Founders

When: Thu, 6/30 at 6 p.m.

Where: Seaport

Info: Hear from a panel of LGBTQIA+ entrepreneurs from across industries about how they handled challenges and moved their businesses forward. There will be opportunity to ask questions and network with these founders after the talk.

Skip the Small Talk at Aeronaut: LGBTQIA+ Speed-Friending

When: Thu 6/30 at 6:30 p.m.

Where: Union Square 

Info: Get past the what-do-you-do small talk questions and straight to the good stuff at this event designed to generate probing, deep conversation. At this LGBTQIA+ event connect with others in the community and talk about the issues most important to you.
