THE FIGS STORY
In late 2009, after being laid off from a career in broadcast production, Katie turned to her family's passion for food, and started 3 Little Figs.
After a couple years testing recipes and baking for dozens of farmer’s markets, and supplying local cafes with her baked goods, Katie was ready for a cafe of her own.
3 Little Figs found its home nestled in a cozy neighborhood in Somerville, and in October 2011 opened its doors.
Katie recruited her mother and sister to join in the fun, and the business was rounded out by Katie’s husband, Andy, who traded his late nights touring in the music industry for early mornings behind the espresso machine. His passion for coffee complimented Katie’s passion for baking, and a family business was born!
