Run a mile, win $100.


Together with Turtle Swamp Brewery, Hold My Beer is staging its 2nd mile race. We are on our way to making this a Father's Day tradition. Slow, fast, indifferent, old, young, whatever: all runners and beer drinkers welcome.


Start at the Brewery at 11 am (easy walk from the Green Street T stop), drop your stuff and sign in, and join the crew in Franklin Park for 5,280 feet of fitness. Then back to the Brewery for awards and a beer on the house.


No crappy shirts or medals. Unless you really want a medal. If that's what it takes, just ask. We'll find a way.

Prizes:


- $100 to each the winners of the men's and women's races. ($101 if you beat the defending champ. Tip your bartender). Last year's winning times: 5:14 for the men, 5:40 for the women.


- Turtle Swamp crowlers to 2nd and 3rd place in each race


- New! Last year a guy named Reuben won the JV heat and we have felt bad for a full 12 months that we had no prize for him. So this year the JV race winners each get a sandwich, in Reuben's honor. Or whatever the food trucks at TSB are serving. Or I guess you could get a bagel at Exodus? Anyway it's on us. Reuben, if you return you can have lunch, too.
