-and a live musical performance by the Eastwood Productions duo!
Every December, the Friends of Richard Cardinal Cushing Memorial Park Inc. hold their annual West End Christmas Tree Lighting. Norman Herr, 83 years old, started this tree lighting with a simple idea: to bring the community together to celebrate Christmas and the life and legacy of the late Richard Cardinal Cushing. 22 years later, this intimate Boston tradition continues. Every year, the tree at Cardinal Cushing Park is blessed and lit in memory of his Eminence Richard Cardinal Cushing, as well as in remembrance of lost community members and loved ones.
After the lighting at 6 p.m., there will be a reception and refreshments in-doors across the street at the Suffolk University Ridgeway Building Gymnasium at 148 Cambridge Street.
