The 21st Annual Haitian Independence Day Gala, hosted by Haitian Americans United, Inc and Partners, is an opportunity to promote Haitian culture in the Boston area, advocate for positive changes and development for Haitian communities in Haiti, the US, and abroad, and pay a ten-year anniversary homage to the victims of the earthquake on January 12, 2010.
Come listen to keynote speaker Frantz Jean-Baptiste, a journalist, writer, and script-writer. Awards will be presented to Massachusetts Congresswoman Ayana Pressley and other community leaders. Enjoy music and theatrical performances given by singer Jocelyne Dorisme, the Dance Troupe Arc-en-Ciel, the Kalbas Gran Dy`ol Theater Group, and the YOFES Open Access to Music Education for Children group. Enjoy the opportunity to socialize with other members of the community and learn about the latest developments in Haitian culture and society.
Tickets are $85 per person. Please call (617) 417-8421 or (617) 298-2976 or send an email to [email protected] if you have any questions or would like to learn more about this event.
