2026 Winter Olympics Closing Ceremony Watch Party at il Casale Lexington

With the 2026 Winter Olympics coming to a close in Verona, Italy, il Casale Lexington – a family-owned Italian restaurant in Lexington – is inviting guests to gather for a special Closing Ceremony Viewing Party on Sunday, Feb. 22 (12-7:30pm), featuring extended brunch hours, protein-forward Italian specialties and an Olympic-inspired cocktail.

The Closing Ceremony will be broadcast live in the U.S. at 2:30pm ET on NBC and Peacock, and il Casale Lexington will mark the occasion by extending its popular Sunday brunch menu until 4pm (which usually only runs from 12-2:30pm), before transitioning into its regular dinner service at 4:30pm until 7:30pm.

Guests can enjoy brunch favorites and hearty entrées from Chef Dante de Magistris’ menu – rooted in his family’s Italian heritage – alongside a celebratory Cask-Aged “Torch” Negroni (equal parts gin, vermouth, campari over ice with orange twist garnish) created exclusively for the occasion. Protein-forward brunch highlights will include: 

• Nonna’s Meatballs (three traditional pork and beef “polpette al sugo,” tomato ragú, pecorino romano, basil)
• Chicken Parmigiana Panini (scali roll, chicken cutlet, tomato basil sugo, mozzarella di bufala, parmigiano reggiano choice of garden salad or fries)
• Eggs in Purgatory (three eggs poached in spicy tomato sauce, angel hair, garlic, basil, grilled pugliese bread)
• Tagliatelle Bolognese (traditional 9 hour ragu of beef, pork, veal, chicken, mirepoix, vino sangiovese, a little sundried tomato paste, sage)

The event offers a traditional Italian setting to toast the end of the Games while enjoying il Casale’s signature farmhouse-style hospitality. Located at 1727 Massachusetts Avenue in Lexington, il Casale is known for its rustic Italian cuisine, live jazz brunch and thoughtful interpretation of traditional recipes inspired by the chef’s family and training in Italy.
