20-piece Compaq Big Band With Vocalist Ed Scheer - At Free Middlesex Jazz Festival

NINE jazz ensembles total: FOUR big bands + FIVE small jazz groups. Who tries to fit to fit THAT in ONE day? The first annual Middlesex Jazz Festival at Concord Center, that’s who! Join the Compaq Big Band on Sunday June 4th in the heart of picturesque, historic downtown Concord, MA. We’re featured 5:00pm-7:00pm, but that’s only part of the outstanding jazz lineup beginning at 1:30pm – see the full schedule below, poster, and www.middlesexjazzfestival.org. The stage area will be in the back of the Concord Visitor’s Center at 58 Main Street.

This is a FREE public outdoor concert, with two side-by-side stages operating alternately to provide continuous live jazz in a family atmosphere. There will be food vendors and craft booths near the stage, and downtown Concord shops and restaurants will be abuzz with jazz patrons. Guest are encouraged to bring lawn chairs. The festival is weather permitting.

We have an outstanding program of concert instrumental charts planned, plus we’ll have with us Band’s Best Friend, Ed Scheer of Boston’s The Love Dogs. He’ll be out in front crushing hits performed by Frank Sinatra, Bobby Darin, Michael Buble, Louie Jordan, and much more!
