This year give someone an 'experience' rather than a 'thing' as the ONE present they can open WAY before Christmas! The Compaq Big Band will present a ‘Big Band Christmas’ at the Rex Theatre in Manchester, New Hampshire on Thursday evening December 2nd. It will be an amazing evening filled with seasonal favorites like you’ve never heard them before - exciting, inspirational, and just plain fun. Even the biggest Grinch can’t help but get in the Christmas spirit!
The Rex is part of The Palace Theatres' family of venues, located at 23 Amherst Street downtown – terrific views from all 300 seats, as well as a great sound system. They’ll have a cash bar available before and during the show. There any many top spots for sustenance and libation within just a couple blocks of the Rex, as well as convenient, inexpensive on-street and garage parking nearby.
The band is on 7:30pm to 9:30pm - doors open at 7:00pm. Admission is only $29. Reserved Seating only, with Orchestra and Balcony sections available. Advance tickets are recommended – go online at www.palacetheatre.org, call 603.668.5588, or stop by the Box Office in the Palace Theatre complex at 80 Hanover Street. Walk-in tickets for the show available at that Box Office location.
The program will feature high-energy arrangements from such greats as Gordon Goodwin, Count Basie, Tom Kubis, Sammy Nestico, and John Clayton. Out in front of the band will be ultra-talented jazz vocalist Renee Dupuis, channelin’ Ella Fitzgerald, Diana Krall, Linda Eder, Mariah Carey, and much more.
